Welcome to Helping Hooves Fell Timber

Our Purpose

Empowering humans through Equine Assisted Learning.

The heart of our business

Hi, I'm Ali, owner and Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner at Helping Hooves. We partner with our horses here at Fell Timber Farm in the Snowy Mountains, to deliver unique, trauma-informed, tailored experiences to support people with their individual learning goals.

These can be skills based, such as emotional regulation, awareness, communication and leadership, or more therapeutic in nature, working with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, moral injury or addictions.

Any personal work can be both confronting and uncomfortable at times, so I strongly encourage you to read more about my background. You are the expert of your own experience - my job is not to judge or tell you what to do, but rather walk beside you and guide you safely through your own self-discovery and healing.

Our Values

  • Ethical: We partner with our horses to support our clients using I-Thou principles. Everyone – client and horse – has a voice.

  • Empathy: We do not judge. We listen to and support our clients’ needs.

  • Authenticity: We live by our values. We facilitate authentic learning goals in partnership with our clients.

  • Trauma-Informed: We provide physical and psychological safety for trauma-affected clients, regardless of learning goals.

  • Respect: We will always honour the uniqueness of our clients and our horses.
