Hi, I'm Ali, owner and Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner at Helping Hooves. We partner with our horses here at Fell Timber Farm in the Snowy Mountains to deliver unique, trauma-informed experiences that provide mental health support and help individuals achieve their personal learning goals.
These experiences can focus on skill development, such as emotional regulation, awareness, communication, and leadership, or they may address therapeutic needs, working with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, moral injury, or addictions.
Personal work can be both confronting and uncomfortable at times, so I strongly encourage you to read more about my background. You are the expert of your own experience—my role is not to judge or tell you what to do, but rather to walk beside you and guide you safely through your own self-discovery and healing.

Ethical: We partner with our horses to support our clients using I-Thou principles, ensuring that everyone – both client and horse – has a voice.
Empathy: We do not judge; instead, we listen to and support our clients’ needs, fostering an environment conducive to healing.
Authenticity: We live by our values, facilitating authentic learning goals in partnership with our clients to promote genuine growth.
Trauma-Informed: We provide trauma-informed experiences that ensure physical and psychological safety for trauma-affected clients, regardless of their learning goals.
Respect: We will always honour the uniqueness of our clients and our horses, recognising that each individual brings their own story.
